The migration is finished. You can now find all the articles that were available under the Blog section of this website at the following URL: http://blog.braccini.info. The old Blog session is no longer available on this website. All that remains from the old Blog section is the News section that has now been inserted in the main menu. |

It is almost Christmas time, and it is about time for another migration, a massive one this time. I have just started a separated website to host my personal blog. The website can be reached at the following address: http://blog.braccini.info. Starting from today, for clarity reasons, all the articles on Open Source, Linux, and Mac that are on http://www.braccini.info will be migrated on http://blog.braccini.info.

Finally, after an entire evineng of hard work , Google Search is in place on http://www.braccini.info. You probably have noticed the google search box in the home page. There is a second one in the "Google Search" page (main menu). From now on you can run search queries on Google from http://www.braccini.info. Have fun!!! |

Due to technical problems with the maxComment bot I was using for this website, I had to uninstall it so, right now, it is no possible to leave comments on articles, nor to get statistics on users' preferred articles nor users' hits. I am actually looking for a substitute of maxComment that can run on Joomla without requiring the legacy mode. Stay tuned. |

The mod_deflate module has been installed into apache. The webpages are now compressed. The site seems quite faster (according to me). Please send me an e-mail in case of any problems. |

I would like to thank all the visitors that passed through these pages (and they are so much) and wish to inform you all that new contents are coming for this website. For now the Open Source section (inside the Blog) is growing. There are some new items in the Links section too. Come and have a look. |

Finally I have made my choice. Starting from today you will find at the end of each article a set of icons. With these icons you can (in order): quote the article in your web pages, specify your favoured articles, print an article, send it via mail to somebody, find related articles or save the article in del.icio.us. Plus, at the end of each article you can now read comments left by other authors and leave your, of course. |
Actually, Ubuntu Linux is, among all Linux distributions, the one which seems to be more simply to be used by non experts. Obtaining Ubuntu is simply. The installation is simplified enough to be easy to be completed. After having installed a fresh system you can start to configure and customize it to follow your needs. To serve these purposes the TuxJournal.net magazine has just released a guide (you can download a copy of it here), written in Italian, that, in 7 chapters, gives lots of hints to configure: audio and video, internet, office application, graphic applications, programming environment, system and customization. |

New updates for the site. The Bibliography section has been updated, two more papers added in the Open Source category. I think I just have to modify it a little bit and to make it completely dynamic, maybe with a customizable front end where users can search for keywords or title and with an administrative back end used to insert publication into the database. A good idea could be to reuse the Bibtek format for the bibliography. I will work on it... |
